I (Courtney) was waiting tables at a Thai restaurant for a little bit after college. One night Thomas came in with some friends and was easily the most charming guest I’d ever had — even when his dinner turned out a lot spicier than expected. Every time I would check on their table, he would turn his whole chair to look up at me with the biggest smile.
